One of the highlights of my weekend in New York was our trip to the American Folk Art Museum. Our friends at Benartex told us about an artist, Paula Nadelstern, that they have been working with who has an exhibit there now. The exhibit is called
Kaleidoscope Quilts: The Art of Paula Nadelstern, and if you are in New York anytime between now and September 13th, it is a must-see! The kaleidoscope inspired designs are incredible with rich detail and these quilts are unlike any I have ever seen before. Nadelstern’s use of color and pattern is incredible and her process of design, starting with fabric pieces and mirrors is so very interesting. They even have some of Nadelstern’s personal kaleidoscopes at the museum for all to peruse. It was truly an inspiration!
